recognition of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Awareness Month with renowned
faculty Dr. Barbara Ostfeld. A nationally recognized expert, Dr. Ostfeld has
conducted extensive research on SIDS and contributed to American Academy of
Pediatrics policies addressing risk factors. She is a respected leader in
promoting risk reduction practices, having been recognized as a Champion for
Children by the American Academy of Pediatrics – NJ Chapter, and is a
longstanding member of stakeholder workgroups including the State Medical
Examiner SIDS Autopsy Protocol Committee and the N.J. Perinatal Quality
Collaborative.
