CHARGEMASTER FUNDAMENTALS: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

The hospital chargemaster is a comprehensive list of a facilities services and supplies along with their associated charges. This list includes procedures, supplies, prescription drugs, diagnostic tests, and any fees associated with equipment and room charges. A chargemaster can also be used to track service volumes, costs, and revenues. All patient charges are generated from the chargemaster and are tied directly to revenue.
